“Invest-Build-Operate” Project of the North-South Expressway, Jamaica

　　In 2013, a Chinese enterprise invested in a 68-km expressway in Jamaica in the form of BOT. Completed and operated in 2016, this road greatly shortened the country's north-south travel time from 2 hours to 50 minutes.

　　In 2022, SINOSURE provided a combined solution of overseas investment insurance, which covered the political risks, and financial guarantee cover, which facilitated a customized, low-cost, “offshore loan against domestic guarantee” refinancing with five-year tenor and lump-sum repayment, significantly improving the project’s return on investment.
